The Itire Ikate Local Council Development Area (LCDA) yesterday witnessed a significant milestone with the swearing-in of its new Executive team, comprising the Secretary to the Local Government (SLG), Chief of Staff, Supervisors and Special Advisers. The inauguration ceremony, held at the Council Secretariat, was graced by notable dignitaries.

In her welcome address, Council Manager Mrs. Ajose Esther welcomed guests and urged the new executives to prioritize the collective interest and development of Itire Ikate LCDA. She prayed for their success and advised them to work diligently, avoiding personal interests that may hinder the Council’s progress.
Delivering his keynote address, Executive Chairman Hon. Oluwafemi Daniel Odunayo expressed gratitude to the gathering for their unwavering support towards the development of the Council. He charged the new Executives to continually seek knowledge that would enhance the progress of the Council and improve the welfare of the people.
Hon. Odunayo urged them to see their new roles as an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the development of Lagos State and make life more meaningful for residents of Itire Ikate. He implored them to support his administration in building and positioning Itire Ikate LCDA to an enviable height.
Following the Executive Chairman’s speech, the Legal Officer of Itire-Ikate Lcda, Barister Adekanbi Kudirat, took the stage to administer the oath of office to the new Executive Members. The swearing-in ceremony was a solemn affair, with the officials taking their oaths with their hands on either the Bible or Quran.
The APC Apex Leader of Surulere, Chief David Olutayo Adenekan, urged the newly sworn-in Executive Members to be loyal and committed to the blueprint developmental plan of Itire-Ikate LCDA and ensure a cordial relationship with one another, saying this is the opportunity to add value and make the LCDA great.
The new Executives, who were sworn in according to the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, pledged to faithfully and diligently discharge their duties without fear or favor, to deliver democracy’s dividends to the people.
A vote of thanks was given by the newly sworn-in Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Lawal Afeez Kelvin, who appreciated the good people of Itire-Ikate LCDA for giving them the opportunity to serve and promised to be committed to the vision and mission of the LCDA.
The inauguration ceremony was a testament to Hon. Odunayo ‘s commitment to inclusive governance and delivering good governance to the people of Itire Ikate LCDA.
